Global Resorts Network and MOR Vacations
May 1, 2009
When it comes to luxury travel memberships there's just no comparison to Global Resorts Network. Not too long ago GRN was the only business model of its kind offering a unique business opportunity with the only pay plan of its kind called perpetual leveraging. But when you have the amount of success that this business has had in such a short time it only makes sense that a company is going to come along and try to model that success. Not too long ago a company popped up called MOR Vacations, they are to Global Resorts Network what Jack in the Box is to McDonald's. I believe the reason why MOR Vacations was created was to address a couple of issues that, at the time, GRN was not considering such as offering a payment plan. The good news is that competition always creates a better product. After all, if your number one, you want to stay number one. Not long after this other company was formed Global Resorts Network began offering a finance plan, started excepting credit cards and offered "hot weeks" as low as $149.
So has MOR Vacations hurt business for Global Resorts Network members? This is very doubtful, after all this is a multi trillion dollar industry and there really is room for everyone but the benefit of GRN is the fact that there are many more resources for it's members and it's independent distributors and the company will always have a longer track record.
So how many resorts can you go to with a MOR Vacations membership? Who knows, they don't have a registry of resorts like GRN does and they do not provide any information on who their resorts supplier is. I did a specific search on Google for "MOR Vacations" & "list of resorts" and most of the search terms that came up, ironically, were for Global Resorts Network. On their official site they do list a number of their "hot weeks" but most of the ones that are listed for $149 require you to book them within a week. So it seems pretty pointless considering that if you booked air travel to any of these destinations just a week in advance you will be paying top dollar for the flight, so there goes your savings. MOR Vacations also talks about their payment plan which is also called perpetual leveraging but there is not documentation on their official website about the payment plan.
I am sure there are really good people involved in this new fairly new company and I would not discourage their success but if you are looking for a business in the travel industry why not choose Global Resorts Network? GRN distributors have many more resources at their disposal, you know where you can go ahead of time and the pay plan is fully explained.
